Great Ocean Road - One of the must visit place in Victoria. How is that be? Frankly I have no idea. But the view is seriously amazing and breath-taking (if you take the helicopter ride). However if you don't, it still does give you the thrills (as how my parents found out).
Honestly this is my first time I am in a chopper, so is the view breath-taking or is it the chopper? Maybe if I go for a second ride then I'll be able to tell. But for now, let's stick to the idea of the view.
The Twelve Apostles is a series of limestone stacks found off the shore of Port Campbell National Park, by the Great Ocean Road in Victoria, Australia. Their proximity to one another has made the site a popular tourist attraction. It was called the Twelve Apostle, however as of today there is about 8 or 9 left due to erosion, but more new apostle is being carved out every day. More information over here.
Getting here is not hard at all, you can drive if you like or simple pay $90-ish for a trip with APT and sat back and relaxes. Reason I suggest APT because they do a great job in driving you around and also the commentary is entertaining.
On a hot summer day, I will not suggest taking this tour as there is a fire hazard. As Great Ocean Road lies along the beach and the access to it is pretty much limited. So if ever there's a fire and you are in there, it can get a little too exciting. As if you go on wintery and windy day, you'll see the amazing ocean smashing against the shore and creating this mist that's looked cool (and does feel cool).
Good for effects, but not that great for picture taking I reckon. In any way I am sure it still gives you a great experience, at least that's for me.
So to those is planning, may you have an eventful day and not blighted by mist or rain.
