Coming back to the journey, We visited Liverpool Anglican Cathedral, Anfield (obvious), The City Center, Chinatown and also manage to wander around the city. As much as Anfield is the center piece of my visit, all the places I've been to is amazing nonetheless. We did not manage to attend any matches as our visit actually fall on the weekday and there was no match on the two day, one night visit that we are on. A third visit is surely beckoned and I reckon it's not too far away. I truly look forward to that and may the third visit, I can actually attend a Liverpool match, with my wife. Like they say third time lucky! Till then …
Writing about my visit to Anfield is never an easy one; even this is my second visit. Being there is so surreal, every time! My first visit was pretty hasty as it's a one day trip and I literally have to travel
7 hour by coach and transfer to a local bus and then to the field. I was barely given 45 minutes to peek at Anfield and return on the same day.
Second visit proved to be more fruitful. Me and my buddy (Pou-Keng-Wan) planned this trip thoroughly and we are lucky as we manage to crash at his sister's place. Liverpool itself is amazing, with its people that's amazingly friendly although at times it's really hard to make out what they are saying for their accent.
Nonetheless I truly enjoyed it. We did manage to go shopping in the Liverpool FC store and I was so excited I forgotten about pictures. What a lost, however it was well sweeten by the fact I manage to get a lot of stuff from the store. Most memorable was the matching
jersey I got myself and my girlfriend with NOT our name but HUSBAND and WIFE written on both jerseys. I planned for it to be used in our wedding pictures and we did.
